Willie Clancy and Miltown Malbay are words on the tongue of everyone in Clare this week and beyond, as musicians and music lovers alike are converging on the town of Miltown Malbay to take part in sessions and or classes; to listen, to meet up with friends and in general to be a part of this great festival.

 This is also the week which sees a lot of new albums launched and today alone two of these were brought into the shop to sell, which I'll have up on the site next day or so along with some other local Cds from Edel Fox (Beryls & Chords), and Kevin Griffin, Eoin O'Neill and Quentin Cooper (Live at the Burren Centre in Kilfenora).

 Miltown Malbay is right beside Spanish Point which has a beautiful beach and if you continue along the coast in either direction a fantastic drive to end up in either Lahinch (and get an Ice Cream in Geenes and sit on the wall and look out to sea) or Kilkee (and get an ice cream from Mauds and saunter down to the beach).
