David & Eileen Woodford started in business in 1981 when they opened a record shop, the Record Rack in Market Square, Ennis. Three years later they moved to their present location in Lower Market Street and here they have stayed expanding into the neighbouring premises in 1999 when it became available.

A love of all kinds of music is what drove the business all these years, along with meeting people and sharing stories of concerts and gigs, chatting about latest albums with customers and the general banter which takes place among music lovers.

With the shift which has come about in the music business, they felt it was also time to change and recently they renamed their business The Irish Shop.com and shifted their focus to “All things Irish”, with music, gifts and crafts from County Clare and around the country.

It is still a family owned and run business with the personal touch and a warm Irish welcome, and they look forward to meeting you in their premises in Ennis or in their online shop.........
